Have you finally grown tired of the clutter that's taken over your garage? If you can't even park your car in there anymore, you definitely have a problem. These 7 hacks will finally make organizing your garage possible, and even make it easy to maintain.

1. Panels

Paneling is an excellent foundation for any garage storage organization. Installing even one panel makes hanging cupboards, cabinets, hooks, magnets, and about anything else you need for organization possible.

2. Cabinets

Out of sight, out of mind, right? Consider installing cabinets to store items you'd rather not have lying around your garage. Cabinets make any garage look clean, sleek, and organized.

3. Hooks

If you're like most people, at least 50% of the clutter in your garage consists of random nails, screws, gardening tools, and other tiny items you can't keep track of, so you keep buying more. Consider the use of hooks to hang containers for storage of these items. Hooks are also excellent to help suspend larger tools and equipment on the wall, or organize extension cords.

4. Magnets

Given that most of the tools and junk you have lying around your garage are made out of some type of metal, installing a magnetic strip is an excellent idea. Attach old spice jars or containers with nails and other small items, or just stick your screwdrivers, hammers, and other tools to it. it's the perfect tool storage solution.

5. Shelves

Storage shelves for your garage have a variety of uses—you can store large tools to keep them off the ground, or hold bins, boxes, and other containers filled with items you'd like to keep safe. Shelves can be placed high for items you don't use often, or low to hold tools and supplies you need easy access to. There are so many garage shelf ideas out there, you can easily find one to fit your needs.

6. Bins

Coming in a variety of sizes, bins that attach to wall paneling systems are an excellent solution for organizing smaller items. Consider using a bin to store spray paint cans or gardening tools, in addition to smaller items, like nuts, bolts, and screws. Have a lot of keys for outdoor equipment or tool boxes? Bins are the perfect solution to keep them all in one place.

7. Organization Systems

When you don't want the hassle of designing your own organization system (because really, who has time for that?) consider a pre-designed garage wall system. Just install and you're done, easy as that. Overhead garage storage systems are an even better option if you're looking to organize and increase the usable space in your garage.
